Four men have been jailed for their part in protests outside the Danish embassy in London, against cartoons satirising the Prophet Muhammad.

Mizanur Rahman, 24, Umran Javed, 27, and Abdul Muhid, 24, were each jailed for six years for soliciting to murder after telling a crowd to bomb the UK.

A fourth man, Abdul Saleem, 32, was jailed for four years for stirring up racial hatred at the protest in 2006......

Good. Now expect protesters bitching about their sentence.

Shouldn't they be deported after jail time?

Are these guys still "available" for other demonstrations?

He's picking on another member, before he has even posted. Whatever happened to "Attack the post, not the poster"?

How exactly he was picking on member or attacking the poster?

    He asked a simple question,
"It's a good news unless you support things, right AGS"

Please explain how was it an attack on another member exactly?
Are you reading between the lines?

Ann Coulter is no better than any Al-Qaida member. The two are blood-loving bastards who hate humanity and are a main reason why the world is so messed up now. I find it amazing and extremely sad that people in a country like the US support her.

Now about those who got jailed. I would jail those bastards for the rest of their lives and arrest everyone who protested in support of them. The west has to take measures proportional to the risk. It has to know that freedom of speech should not apply to those who want to destroy it. It has to know what to do with those who want to bomb you after you provided them with what they would only dream of in their countries.

These are ''people'' who want to destroy you, me, and everybody who does not agree with their cruel, criminal, and senseless beliefs. When you get hold of someone who wants to bomb the UK for cartoons, you do not let him go. The risk is simply too huge. Ask the victims of July 7th, September 11th, March 11th, or those of every single day that passes by in my country, Iraq.

Time to take serious actions before it's too late. It already is pretty late. If anybody supports any of what these guys support, they should get jailed and be treated as a real threat to everybody's security and life, because they simply are.

Good luck getting them out in 6 years. If they let them go free in the UK again, it would simply mean that the UK wanted it.

I think this is a bit harsh (6 years each for shouting propaganda). There are some people who get less for committng serious crimes like rape, armed burglaries, etc. These guys were just shouting slogans taht they were never going to act upon. True, they were enciting hatred but there have been countless other times when enciting hatred (withoiut violance) has simply been dismissed. 10 years ago they would have gotten a few months (if that), but in this current climate, I think the term "proportionality" is being thrown out the window.

I think a year each would have have been a better fit for the crime. But I also think the courts probably see this as a way to deter others from doing this hence the harshness of the sentences in which case its perfectly understandable.

Not really, it's incitement to murder. If I got caught asking people to kill you, then you wouldn't be very happy if I got let off with a slap on the wrist would you?

In that case the courts will have to weigh up "intent". I think these guys were there to demonstrate and were foolishly shouting slogans they never going to act on or, even more remotely, encourage others to.

Foolishness or ignorance isn't a defence in the eyes of the law, anyone breaking the law is foolish ;)

I just don't think these guys can have any complaints. They were stupid enough to get photographed issuing death threats.

If they want to impose sharia law over here in the UK as many of them claimed, then maybe we should have sentenced them as such, in which case they're really lucky to escape with their lives
