what do I do now?

I am very average at SEO and have run out of things to do. I have submitted my website to every directory that I could find over the last 6 months. I was submitting the same articles to many different article directories, but I hear that this is spamming. Posting on forums doesn't seem to help much. What can and should I be doing to keep this up, and increase my rankings and backlinks?

set up backlinks with website with your keywords...search google with "keyword add url"

 

You are in very competitive market here you should do so many effort on your site and here is lots of thing to do I suggest you start learning google algorithm and SEO articles they can help you out this situation .

try to do more link exchange with trusted site and related theme sites. use your keyword as a anchor text.
do more and more article submission with new article and put your link in that article.

 

also try social bookmarking and promote your site to free classified ads.. you need to consistently do the link building it's an on-going process. You need a lot of effort and persevere to increase you PR.

Can I submit the same aritcles to more than one article directory?

 

Of course yes you will!

 

But can that become spam?

 

I don't think so.. IMO and based on my experience, i don't get banned when i submit my article to different article directories.
