Looks like your top bud was just arrested in Iraq!! I guess when it rains, it really does pour! Let me know you address and I will have FTD send you some flowers. http://asia.news.yahoo.com/070718/ap/d8qevb680.html edit: I also see that AGS has abandoned his bro guru in support of his boy AC by changing his avatar...nice job there buddy.
Good to hear, though it's sad to see that the lessons of Vietnam have to be learnt twice. I'm just wondering how much longer and how many more lives it'll cost for Bush to see what everyone else already knows.
are you comparing this to vietnam? and since "Everyone else already knows", please enlighten us with your knowledge.
Of course, it's very difficult for a conventional army to win a war against a disparate guerrilla enemy. In order to win all the insurgents have to do is to wait it out until the the allied coalition is forced home though the weight of the mounting casulty figures and political pressure as in Vietnam. Small and underequiped forces have a great record of beating superior invading forces as in Vietnam, Algeria, Cuba and Afganistan Military victories don't always equate to political ones
The US will find another scapegoat who is causing all the problems in Iraq soon enough. MattUK is right - this is Vietnam 2
Vietnam: 58,226 casualties Iraq:3,555 casualties yep, this sure is another vietnam.... http://www.vietnam-war.info/casualties/ http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/iraq_casualties.htm
Every day is a bad day for AnthonyCea. Being an itinerant webmaster with no friends, no women, and no cash is never easy on anyone.
What a moron. Do you even know anything about insurgency, guerrilla warfare and counter insurgency? What was the name of the guy who got killed couple of months ago and his death was suppose to be the solution to all problems but nobody even remember his name now? To be arrested or killed is something that insurgents count on, it is not like a U.S soldier who thinks he is coming back home but there is a possibility that he can get killed. Do you know how many insurgents were killed in Algeria by French? Do you know how many insurgents were killed by French in Vietnam? Do you know how many insurgents were killed by Americans in Vietnam? How about Nicaragua, Cuba or El Salvador? Remind us again what was the result of all those wars if you know anything about history. Insurgency can only be crushed through political means, relying on fire power is a doomed tactic which certainly will fail but in the mean time can make couple of sissy cheerleaders happy who like to talk about the guns.
No, I didn't say any such thing. I am stating the fact that you are a moron who doesn't know anything about this subject.
I was watching a "vietnam : a television history " on dvds lately, and similiaritys between the two wars is amazing Even rhetoric leading up to the war is close to the same
nice job at cutting and pasting to make sure it fits your agenda...who is the moron? That would be you...
How did I cut & paste? My post is post #10 in this thread and yours is #12 in response to my post. any one can check it by looking at this thread. Thanks for showing once again that you are a moron.
d16man don't you ever get bored with all this ? What will happen when all wars you fight are done ? Will you die ? Commit suicide ? Get a life man ....
lets ask again, this time i'll make it easy for you to reply, just copy n paste one of the 2 below lines. I condemn the insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan or I support the insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan aint i helpful
There is no yes and no ... this thing is complex From your point of view it is one way and from some other point of view it is different That is the way this world works ...
His first concern is that his lover Bush will be out of office in about 18 months from now. He's going to have to deal with that one first!
