hi all, i have recently started working in a company that owns about 300+ domains most of them are un-used. some of them are just for company name protection (so that nobody takes their domain name in any extension) and the other domains are just product names or keyword rich domain names. the thing is that those domains are not currently being used at all, i would like to see if anyone has any suggestions for use of these domains and that could be helpful to promote our main domain/s. thanks
You may be able to redirect a few of them. Another option (one that I have done in the past) is to set up small blogs on these unused domains to gain organic traffic, and refer them to your main site through banners and text links.
not sure but the traffic will go up for the actual domain, so ranking will improve for the actual domains and will go down for others which actually are waste and are only supporting your main domain
Thanks I like to use it on the forums because no one else ever will, and strong coffee is my weakness in life.
I would go with redirecting traffic to your main web site. If you have enough time then defiantly make blogs.
use them to redirect organic traffic to the main site. Have plenty of keywords that can do that for you. pm me if you need more info.
You have two options: 1. Redirect. 2. Build small niche sites, keyword rich and link to your main site.
If you plan to make separate sites for all those domains, I'd suggest that you should host them on different web hosts. They shouldn't be hosted on the same Class C IP's and interlinked with each other.
