Depends which domain names you're looking for? To answer it shortly, it's the best for .ca extension, but it's not the best for other extensions....
Yup, seen that.... The thing with them is that their control panel is quite lame and not intuitive at all (and slow at times), otherwise there's no other problems. They've got decent prices, but the control panel issue ruins that for me -- I have over 250 domains, and it'd be hellishly hard to manage them all at Netfirms.
u need a good domain control panel and simple then domainsite.com and need something complex and professional then godady.com big plan big business.
Here's a screenshot of Netfirms control panel... As you can see it's really basic, and to change the owner info you even need to go to a different section (account) and then do more clicks.... Really quite lame.
It's a good price and in terms of support they are as good or better than other registrars I have used. The only functional drawback is that they do not let you create virtual nameservers. They do auto-renew about 10 days before expiry so don't leave it too late if you want to transfer.
Thanks for your input, I only needed only domain and I just registered it.. The control panel is not too much of an issue to me =).
I wouldn't use them, they're too much of a hassle to buy from although they are cheap. Tried to buy a name through them a few months ago & paid with a credit card, entered the CCV number as well, then got an email from them asking me to fax them a copy of my c/c because they have been having a lot of fraud issues with their company! Not worth the hassle IMO
For me, Netfirms is still quit good. Quite easy to transfer. The only problem is they accept credit card only
