You know, when you are seek and tired of every-morning traffic jams, you'll think about buying a scooter)))

I haven't got one, but will definitely buy one when I'm 16. Not just for the reasons mentioned in the first post, but because they are upping the driving age to 18 in the UK, and so it will take longer if I wanted a car.

I myself wanted to own a scooter, but my uncle had his accident 2 yrs. ago. He said he wanted us to learn how to used it, but not in the long run.

I still prefer car over scooter, though it's expensive still the percentage of human's safety is much better compare to scooter. ^_^

    Well,
Scooters are almost out of market here in India due to the high rise of cost effective Motor Bikes..
They are ranged form 25K to 100K in INR.

Get a 150cc 4st Bajaj Pulsar (made in india) gives roughly 31.5 miles to a liter of petrol and easily does 110kmph and will climb any mountain with ease.

Why not a 220 then or for that matter F650 from BMW which gives a respectable 16 miles to a liter :D.

The OP wants mileage and ability to climb mountain roads easily, best compromise of mileage and power :D

Scooters don't work well when the roads are snow covered and it's -10 Farenheit. I rode motorcycles for years but finally quit due to all the morons on the roads. Scooter...Yikes!

Its not the ride, its the rider. If you drive carefully, and make sure others around you drive carefully, you don't crash. If you drive fast all the time, don't concentrate, then you crash.

I have driven over a open bridge with gale force 9 winds on a dual carriageway, while it was raining.

I purchased this part on Friday, got it in the post on Monday and got it fitted today, i have just driven my scooter around town, and it is amazing. It sounds a lot better, louder, more "motorbike" style sound, it gives better acceleration, and my top speed is not changed.
