That is a good question and I am sure there are a lot of variables but my short answer would be no more than 10 quality links a day to be safe. What does everyone else think?
How do you find 10 new places to get links from every day? I have a hard enought time just trying to find one or two new links a day. Just get as many as you can in your free time.
i don't think submitting your site to 100 directories will harm your sit as first most of the directories don't accept sites immediately it will take time...so just improve your link popularity....
I don't know the precise answer to your question. But a very safe system that many on DP use is this: • Go daily to the Directories > Solicitations sub-forum. There you will find each day from 3 to 5, even 8 or 10, new directory submission offers — some free, some paid. • Submit to those you wish to. If you follow this practice each day, you will find over the course of a year that you will have gained a thousand or more new links with very little time and effort.
you answered 100% correctly though. you wouldnt happen to know a beth/samantha/mellissa/vicky lane would you?
get as many link as you can. per day if u get 10 to 15 links, thats cool if u can get more then go ahead. end of the month you will get benefit.
i've already gotten all the links that i can from sites related in my niche. i guess im gonna start submitting to about 5-15 directories per day for a while. thanks
that depends on your site, how did it perform without links, do you know. did you rank well for keywords before having links to your site. what is your exact aim. I take it you are buying links for pagerank! you may buy as many as you like, it is the website you buy them that really matter. avoid those selling thousands of instant one way links - paid or free.
Unless you're a paid directory, or are otherwise selling links, yes, SERPs are more important than PR. However, the same aggressive securing of quality backlinks that increases PR also seems to give a boost in the search engine rankings. There is more than a minor relationship between PR and SERPs, it appears. So again, why not have as a personal goal an increase in both SERPs and PR? There's nothing to lose and everything to gain. And then we don't have to read on DP again and again the erroneous but high-sounding comment: "PR is useless." I would actually appreciate seeing someone prove that PR is useless with actual facts, not just opinion. PR may, as some maintain, be of less importance than a few years ago. But "useless", as many declare on DP???
i dont know the exact number but i can say what you must NOT do i have submitted my site to 20 directory per day and it's sandboxed now
Why not start doing some deep linking (if you haven't already) with different anchor text to the links you already have? Look for Squidoo lenses and Hubpages that are relevant to your niche and start commenting on them and getting some backlinks to your site. In fact if you haven't already done so build a lense on the subject and include a link back to your main site. I would say add no more than half a dozen links a day to any site, and I wouldn't advise blasting your link into 100's of directories at once. best of luck, Paul
The way I see it you can get as much links a day as you want. Just make sure these links are coming from a high quality sites.
