Yes, it seems they cache the predicted PR and don't update too often. Mine also went up after showing 112 backlinks for quite some time. It now shows 151 backlinks. Maybe that's why some people are getting higher than predicted PR :D

I don't get how can this tool be accurate. There are many reasons that prediction on this tool are false.
    1) It needs atleast 100 backlinks to check, where as 1 backlink from high PR site can give you good PR.
    2) Site keeps adding the backlinks, if the snapshot has already happened the prediction will be wrong.
    3) Tool doesn't consider links going out (Out Bound Links) from the site, so I might be having a backlink from PR8 but if that has 50 link going out it has no value.
These are few of the reasons, I've my own concern that tool might be considering several other factors like nofollow, inbound links, PR leakage etc.

Any way Best of Luck guys, Just an opinion.

I agree with you. This is a fun tool though. If it could consider all the variables you mentioned, iwebtool.com would have been like google. Also that will require a huge database to maintain all the info about site, and a damn good system/software to periodically update them.
I am enjoying this post anyway.

I personally feel all webmasters are giving too much of importance to this Greeen Bar.

From SEO perspective truely speaking what really matters in Ranking and not Page rank. High Page rank doesn't give you high ranking, but high ranking might give you high Page rank (more traffic has more possibility backlinks).

Any ways I think this Green Thing surely feeds our hunger to success and competition.

    Best of Luck guys.
