I've figured out a way to get indexed in Google Blog Search in less than 2 minutes every time.:D

Simply post, ping feedburner, they ping google and your post is indexed in less than 120 seconds.

The full method is here. (digg it if you like it)

What would be cool is if some of you could take screen capture videos of how fast you can get indexed and we can have a race. I will post the winner on my blog.:)

I actually had a similar situation where I posted my blog and within an hour it was showing up in google all ready. I didn't do what you said. I just added a link to my home page which gets hit by the googlebot a ton.

why do you need any special method to do this?

Once yor post is on feedburner, it will auto-ping google blog search.

Slightly off-topic, I have noticed similar action on one of my forums as well, but not for other forums. Are there factors that cause this to happen on a forum?

If you don't need any special method, then why do you have an entire blog post dedicated to how to do it, and what in the hell makes you think "ping feedburner" is innovative enough to Digg it?

    I'm confused. :D

The point isn't how to do it. The interesting thing (it was interesting to me anyway......) is that Google responds so quickly to the ping and indexes the posts straight away.

i would say everyone responds to the Ping.

The whole idea of pinging is that the service should index you immediately. That works the same for other services some of them include technorati etc

first of all undestand the diff between normal SE and Blog SE.

Normal SE takes time to deeply crawl your site and pages to find revelant content and of course check backlinks to your content and then rank your pages.

Blog SE doesnt rank any page, they simply index them and show it users based on "Time" it was indexed in the engine. Blog SE aint any fancy, they work almost like any other RSS reader the only thing they do is provide a search. You will notice the latest blog topic related to the keyword always comes as first results, so there is no special ranking algorithm. Time is the only factor.

Hope this helps everyone including OP in understanding how blog search engine works.

The only problem is, Blogsearch generally brings in very little traffic.

That bit isn't true. Google Blog Search defaults to ranking "By Relevance" and offers "By Date".

It's not even getting indexed. The blog search & main index are different, try it..

This is retarded, feedburner pings every 30mins anyway.. Who cares if I have a 28 minute delay?

didnt i mention "Time" is the only factor? BY date and Relevance are filters users can choose. They are not ranking factors.
