RC Priests Pay Out in Abuse Case

Rather than face the courts the RC Church cop out and decide to pay hundreds of millions in USD to pay out the abused victims

660$ million for 508 cases...wonder how much of that will actually go to the victims, and how much will go to the lawyers...which will still leave the victims as victims.

I agree...this is the same way that John Edwards got rich, except his cases were not sex abuse cases.

 

Money is a tool and unfortunately people will sacrifice justice to get paid. For me it's not to decide what the victimes should do, get paid or get justice. Well, maybe it is some form of justice. But as long as we have free media, the offenders will be held accountable one way or another. It's sad to realize that teh RC "church" must have gotten away with violating 100s of 1,000s of children thruout the centuries.

 

So do any of the people that believe in God care to explain why He let these priests do these horrible crimes to innocent people? Any explanations why He didn't seem to care? Or for that matter how about the Church trying these bastards instead of covering it up for years?

And this is just for the cases in Los Angeles...500+ incedents...expect more settlements in the years to come.

 

The Catholic church has far too much power and does anything they can to keep it.

 

How does the church get that much money in the first place?
