Best SEO techniques on a budget

Lets say im on a really small budget of say $200 a month, with todays services and techniques where would my money be best spent? How would you lay it out? Lets also imagine I dont have the time to do any of the work myself, is there a successful budget plan out there? What do you advise?

For example:

Month 1: $200 for site/keyword research and optimisation
Month 2: $200 on manual directory submissions
Month 3: ??????
Month 4: etc etc

 

What is your target market? Going to assume you already have a website developed, what is the URL?

I agree with semspot, if you have to spend your money you have to know first what your going to assume... because in SEO you must have a perfect planning to succeed...

 

i think the best way for spending your money is link building . you need a complete link building (directory, article , social bookmark etc.)

you must also apply on site seo to your site

 

I can tell you mine. My keywords are "Jack in the Box" and "Jack" and my URL is here.

 

The best thing is custom link building - not directory submission or craps like that.

 

Just do a search on your keyword with add url in google and there is tons
of sites to link with you.....search "keyword add url"

 

i think you should plan and analyze first what your site will be targeting? if you want to increase your sales well link building it is, sponsored links in the search engine.

 

First, get your site optimized correctly, before even bothering to do any SEO. It doesn't matter how many links you get if you don't optimize your site first, this is especially true with google!

 

Just try and get as many links as possible. I haven't spent anything on SEO, but I haven't gotten very far with it either.

 

I prefer you to do the following :
Article Submission ; Directory Submission ; Social Bookmarking ; Blog Posting ; Forum Posting ; Buy Links etc !

 

What is Social bookmarking?

 

I would suggest contextual link building, or social media optimization, better yet do both.

 

You can do alot of the optimization "stuff" yourself such as building a sitmap and submitting to fit google's specification.

 

In a social bookmarking system, users store links to web pages that they find useful. These link lists are either accessible to the public or a specific network, and other people with similar interests can view the links by category, tags, or even randomly.

 

write interesting and unique topics your readers will enjoy and refer their friends.
social bookmarking, social networking... & keep adding unique content...

 

Seo your page correctly. Use keywords, images (with alt-text) use video to keep user on your site longer, then create some accounts and post to those accounts. Those accounts can be linkedin, tumblr, blogger, to name a few...then create social accounts like diggo and delicious, and grab your link and bookmark it.

Tweet these accounts, add another video to youtube, link it to your site, tweet about that video, add it to your squidoo page, and then share it on face book.

If you are going to create article submissions, link them back to those other sites, those other sites are already linking to yours.

Those are some ideas....

Then use that money to buy hr pr links to your main site.

 

Off page link building is the best technique to get good ranking or result for your website with less budget. Cause most of the submission is free submission just you have to take patience for result.
