after having my ypn acct for over a year and it being very profitable for me Ive called it quits, I finally pulled ypn off my last myspace site that at one time was making 150$/day with ypn, now it makes 2$-30$/day usually being about 10$.

I put google adsense on the site and within the first 3 hours make 12$ amazingly. I cant belive it but adsense has beat out ypn in everything.

If anyone is looking to use a ypn acct for %/share let me know as im not using mine anymore.

    thanks
    jay

    jay, I feel your pain.

My friend is dying for a YPN account and would probably be willing to do a % share. Only problem is that you have to figure in taxes somehow. All the money he makes will be put toward your taxes. But if you can reach some kind of compromise, I know someone who is very interested.

The YPN network won't last 2 more years if they dont get their act together.

And if they are around 2 years from now people will be like "YP who?".

The combination of ASK.com, Adsense, and MSNs network will decrease their marketshare to pretty much nothing. On both the advertiser and publisher side. Hell at least MSN advertises on TV to get advertisers.

jay - ". .. adsense has beat out ypn on everything." What can I say? Most people will agree with you.
GeorgeB - I think maybe only one year. Pressure is growing on them to perform. Perform now, not later.

My theory is lack of management talent and structure. Nobody seems to be at the helm - who is steering the boat? Personally, I think that they need a Steve Jobs - someone who can take names, and kick bhut. And GET RESULTS!

Are YPN employees less capable than Adsense employees? Hard to believe. I think that they are dealing with an entrenched management system, where a Protect Your Ar$e mentality completely overrides innovation. Don't get bumped - don't stand out - lay low - survive. In other words, to make no mistakes, don't do anything. You might become an instant scapegoat.

Are most of the YPN executives in their positions due to past performance, or due simply to tenure? BIG question.

Ignore criticism, especially the worst. Form over function. They try to look good, yet we see no improvement. Many of us are in this for real, not just to chase rainbows, and "hope for the best". It is very costly to keep trying YPN ads - in time, money, and frustration. The old well-known problems don't get solved, and new problems arise with alarming frequency. Communication with publishers is slow, and inadequate. 12 to 24 hours to get stats is too long. Adsense can do it in 15 minutes. "Who do you think we are, Hertz?"

System broken? Don't fix it on weekends. "We only work during the week." "I can't make it in on Saturday or Sunday, got to play." Millions of dollars being lost daily, and nobody can respond. This fact alone, simply blows my mind. Is YPN a money-making entity, or a Gentleman's Smoking Club? Is there a reporting structure? Do any managers have the ability to tell their employees to "get your A$$ in here and fix this"? Why didn't they?

I think that entrenchment may be THE issue. The only thing I see that can fix this, is the sale of the YPN division. Because right now, nothing seems to be improving - only getting worse. New blood could whip this puppy onto shape.

I could not help but notice the link on your signature "AutoClicker/Auto Impression maker package for sale."
You do know that this is not right to use with any CPC service and I hope you are not using it.

brotherz - im not but i dont belive that has anything to do with this thread or anything else, no sense in being a hallmonitor.

-to everyone else, regarding ypn, ive noticed a significant traffic increase now that i removed ypn, my guess is because of ypn having issues serving ads slowed the page load time which made me lose traffic.

I read in the paper a few weeks back that the CEO of Yahoo had resigned and some underling had taken over. The article commented on how poorly
Yahoo had done under the so-called leadership of the guy who resigned. I think he walked away with a lot of money, though.

Good competition for Google would be good for everyone. Google is getting too powerful. I am surprised Microsoft hasn't done better with their own PPC considering the mega bucks Google is making with AdWords.
