Hello everyone this is my first time writing about how I did something and I am excited same as you. I created a blog around 5 months ago but had no idea how to develop it. Recently I joined DP and started to get some suggestions and gained some knowledge on how to improve the potential of my site. This helped me a lot. I changed some contents on my site and started posting regularly. My site started to get traffic from Stumbleupon.com, this gave a raise from around 10 uniques a day to 200 - 300 uniques and double times of page views. Later I found a video on google that looked funny as well as interesting. I never thought that it had so much potential. I just posted it in my blog on a fine evening and stumbled my site from my account. I ordered some stumble service from my friend and went to sleep. To the surprise I got around 6000 uniques the next day morning. I was shocked and was happy by the side as I had never experienced a welcome like this ever before. I was very much excited, I was sitting before my computer and was viewing my recent visitors details from my hosting account and saw that around 99% of the traffic came from Stumbleupon.com and the traffic flow continues. I got around 10,000 uniques within 15-20 hours. But the excitement slowed down the next day, only 5000 uniques the next day 1000 uniques and now back to normal 200-300. This is because, I forgot to post in my blog as I was too excited. http://alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?url=yourshelpfully.com Though I had a huge traffic, I didn't monetize my blog as I was tweaking and changing some of my blogs contents. No problem, money can be earned any time, I am happy for the traffic and the excitement it created. I phoned all my friends and asked them to see the blog and told them that my blog got a huge traffic from nothing. Now I am planning to make a big change to my blog. I have ordered for a neat and cool blog design from rochow. I am sure the design will be excellent. I am going to continue with my success with more good blog posts. I hope I will get some encouragement here. So what do this story tell every one. Not just ordering or exchanging stumbles bring traffic, good content is the real traffic magnet, stumbleupon or others are just magnifiers of these magnets. This is the lesson I learned this week.
Nice man. Way to go! I would like to warn you though. Even though stumble traffic is much better than digg it is still a poor converter. Don't get disappointed when you are not earning as much. Secondly its not the best idea to rely on one source of traffic. Think of other sources.
this is a good eye opener. i have been procastinating the stumbleupon thing for a couple of months now. guess i will go ahead and do it now. also i am sure the stumble upon service providers are going to thank you for this post. congrates on ur traffic. and sure right you can earn money anytime learning marketing and building traffic is really important.
You got any tips. I heard if your profile is strong and you can get alot of stumbles to your site you will do good. I have been trying to get alot of friends and have stumbled 1,500 sites. I have also been trying to find sites to add to stumble I heard that is good too.
