I don't think it'll be that much of a competitor to begin with, however over time it may become a serious competition.
Not even close. Orlando, FL on Kijiji doesn't even have 300 ads. Craigslist has over 142,000, Little difference...
Right, but bear in mind that Ebay owns 100% of Kijiji and have been able to study CL doesn't look real active yet though and looks like you can't post live links...
Can you give us a link to your information? Doesn't make since that eBay would be competing against themselves...
Sure: http://news.com.com/Craigslist+grap...d/2100-1024-6194872.html?part=dht&tag=nl.e703 http://news.com.com/8301-10784_3-9739537-7.html?tag=bl
Nice find DannyBly! 25%, (or whatever that means in $$$), is nothing for Ebay, and I guess we all know it. We are not talking for cannibalization here but rather for a smart move from Ebay's part, (you can call it "bribery" LOL), to learn, by first hand, their, (direct), competitor's strengths and weaknesses. At least this is what I got from these articles. Now wait for Ebay to sell their share...
I think Craigslist has a great headstart, I think it is interesting that eBay owns the new site and has part in Craiglist as well.
EBAY IS GOING TO MERGE THE TWO!!! jk its not bad, but i prefer craigslist better very simple, fast loading, and because they have more content
I absolutely hate the domain name... I cannot believe a company with such means would use such a difficult domain name...... If you have never heard of the site before and you tell someone the domain name: "Ka G G" is redicullous....
