    hi

Im new at this and my friend is nearly finished in helping me create my website. He knows about website design. we have created 11,100 and something content pages highly rich in keywords.Do i have to get traffic in order to get a good income from adsense.Or does the traffic comes automayically from google to my content pages??

Its a bit confusing but i heard that if you have more content pages you would get more visitors.

    Is that true or not.

How long did it take to create 11,100 pages? If they were copied from other sites there's a good chance you'll get penelized for duplicate content and very minimal traffic from Google.

If you have that many UNIQUE pages of content which provide info, services or even a laugh, in a few months after the sandbox and when your site is fully indexed, you will be screaming $$$$$$$$

If they are copied and pasted, u are just one of a crowd.

To answer your questions, offcourse you need traffic to your site to get any sort of income and when people are looking for the topics on your site hopefully they will encounter your site on their search, this all depends on which phrases and keywords they are searching for... so will google automaticly send you visitors? No, not really but when the visitors are using keyphrases and keywords that are relevant to your site then you might have a good chance they find your site on their way stroling the results. This all depends how good your site is optimized but that's another topic;)

Try to build some backlinks and advertisement either free or paid, that all depends on your own budget and willingness to get your site known.
Explore the possibilities to get your site known either offline or online.

This promotion would lead to visitors (hopefully;) )and a percentage from that would generate some income for you with adsense placements on your pages.

So you've built an article site by the look of it.
My advice would be to start with a 'normal' content site based on a topic you know about. Use that to learn the SEO/SEM processes before trying to build sites using articles.
Many many other people use the articlebanks to provide content, so you really could do with knowing what you're doing before trying to out rank some of these guys - it can be done, but possibly not the best way to get started.

Do your articles have by lines and/or links? If so you could have acquired them for free from the article bank sites yourself.

The content could be "legit" and not be unique. There is a difference. I highly doubt that your friend purchased over 11k unique content pages, unless he is investing thousands of dollars for you.

Go with jlawrence's suggestion and take a step back. Start small and learn the industry and how to manage a promote a website.

I'm always very suspicious when a "friend" is doing something. Often this means the person himself is doing something a little fishy, but doesn't want to admit it. Plausible deniability.

I'm not saying this is the case here...

You are correct. Most people whose 'friends' are doing something for them like that are often themselves doing something fishy and want to hide it. Most makes a fake ID, posts a weird topic in the forums and see the general opinions of other people. Yeah, not ALWAYS... :D

The thread-starter's either playing us for fools or just not clued-in himself.

I've heard of "friends". And there may be "1100 pages of keyword-rich content" that's just making its way onto the Net for the first time, but I've yet to hear about a friend that puts up that heretofore unpublished (and keyword-rich) content for their friend's benefit.

what's your benefit in all this? why didn't he just put this site up for himself?

I'm just amazed that someone has the time to do 11,000 pages. I'm doing a new site at the moment and it takes ages for me just to do one page let alone hundreds and thousands.

How much time did that thing take?
if its unique and legit content, you'll drive lot of traffic from search engines
