My understanding of anchor text is the text itself used in a hyperlink. For example, for one of my websites I'm using the anchor text "Cristiano Ronaldo Pictures" because I want my website to be listed in google for this search engine searchword. So if my website is "http://www.cristiano-ronaldo-pictures.com/", instead of just having my link appear as the url name above, you use the anchor text like this - Cristiano Ronaldo Pictures. So basically it's just the text used to describe a hyperlink This is my understanding of anchor-text anyway, hope this helps. Matt
