I just finished an idea I have been working on and would like some constructive type of feedback. I've been working a lot with Wordpress themes lately and decided to dust off an old domain name, put together a unique Wordpress theme and create a niche blog/website. The niche is the occult, the name of the web site is Mister WQ (why?, because I have a 4 letter domain name mrwq.com) . . . I attempted to make the site look "occultish" but as I do business themes most of the time, it looks sort of "business occultish" . . . or maybe I have lost my mind . . . . tell me what you think but be kind, remember you are talking to a crazy person. To be honest, the theme is horrible I don't like the background, the header is bad (colours, design) and I think you should do something more Web 2.0ish Sorry for having to break the news!
Yes, like the other guy said, the theme is really just not that nice. To plain. But your getting their, the best of luck!
Hi Well as someone who's spent a lot of time working in that area (tarot astrology etc) your site doesn't strike me as 'occultish' in design. Sorry - I feel mean but it doesn't suggest it in name or design. I don't dislike the design - just it doesn't fit the topic. Saying that, an occult based black doesn't have to be all black with giant pentacles on it but somekind of 'mystical' feel would be good. The bit of the design underneath where you have "articles about new technologies" is kind of more the thing. Have you decided not to use this blog for the occult? I noticed the 'classic seo' link... And I'm sure you're not crazy
Hi LilyUK Acknowledging the reality that the theme didn't quite work for the occult, I've switched gears, ripped up the original idea and have gone more towards a mechanical/technology theme. My instincts tell me that this is a better avenue in that a more staid or conservative design is expected.

Yes, social networks such as DP are extremely useful for garnering interest in small web projects. This Wordpress theme I have been working on has gone through many changes until it has become exactly what I was trying to accomplish. Hi myspacemaster And thank you. What I have not heard yet at all are comments on the actual coding of this Wordpress theme. The banner image and H2 heading images are easily changed, as are the link colors. Anything that goes with black can be used. The features of this theme are that it can be used as a simple web publishing platform. The heading "Blogroll" had been changed to "Link Partners" . . . it need not be used as a blog. This opens up a world of possibilities in potential uses.
