Marketing help needed for celeb gossip website.

ok so my site has been live for about 2 months now and i am starting to get a steady stream of organic traffic etc. i have a question for all those marketing pros out there, how can i double my traffic etc?

currently i get between 120-350 uniques pre day. now i would love to get it up there especially since i added this nice little plugin for that adsense on my site. i have almost 300 backlinks and a bunch on indexed pages in google. but i also have overr 4500 blog posts and 39 comments on the site. how do i get more pages indexed in google?

Submit press releases, and your blog post to DIGG

 

Post links to your sites on other gossip websites, try to get some exclusive stories

write some articles and submit them to some article website

 

I didn't see you say that u submitted a sitemap to google?? if you havent do so this is a KEY these days! and Update it often.

don't digg too many of your own posts.

 

write a good article about your site and post it to as many social bookmarking sites as you can. trading links with related, high traffic websites can be good as well

 

there are so many competitive sites on celebs.

if you are expecting traffic in a short time, adwords is a great solution for you.

but if you dont have a budget for traffic, you need to apply seo to your site. the main criteria for the seo is backlinks. i suggest you to focus on backlinks

 

I would suggest sharing your stories with bloggers who post celebrity content. Bloggers are always interested in good original stories that their readers might like, so a simple email saying "hey, if you're looking for something to blog about, you might like this story about..." might do a lot for your exposure.

Don't forget to exercise patience. It sounds like you're actively marketing with some good ideas, so a lot of what you're looking for will come organically.

i would say about 20% of my traffic is of the organic nature the rest is referraltraffic from other sites. i wouldnt mind make a couple more bucks a day though. i cant wait for the next PR update, so i can finally make some real money.

Get some exclusive content, spread viscious rumours etc. etc.

 

i am happy to report in the last couple days my rss subscribers has grown from 2 to 21. also i have seen a nice spike in traffic over the last couple days or so.

anyone have anymore tips to increase the traffic to 1k uniques a day without using digg.(all other bookingmaking sites are fine) i have had great success with using netscape bookmaking site. newsvine has been a bust so far though.

 

post your url on movie or celebrity based websites and forums...

 

i have been doing this aswell as using digg to get some extra traffic. if only that traffic turned into revenue from adsense. my AA are doing well though.
