How do you make money using a forum? (and please don't say "FORUMS ARE SOOOO GAAAAAY FOR MAKING MONEY!") I have a forum and want to know the best way possible to generate money from it! Please help!
Put up adsense or some sort of affiliate/commission link. I suggest using the commission link when you have a lose member base, and then when your forum starts to really kick of go to adsense so you get more $ per click.
Selling off an active forum makes money However, while running it.. it may depend on your niche. If you have a really popular forum, you can sell t-shirts and stuff out of it other than that you'll need to try to either use PPC or even selling links (if you have a good PR)
Yeah, I get a LOT of hits for a small forum...on our 1st day up we got 60 users online @ once. We can and will start selling clothes from it when it reaches a high amount of members...Anyway, I already have adsense, but I was thinking more along the lines of like Text link ads and stuff....can I use those on forums?
Of course you can, and i'd throw up a pay pal donation button just for the heck of it and maybe you could create a premium section, which would offer better perks for a small fee.
