It's not useless, it's a list made based on the PR of the article sites. The original source is this http://articlepostrobot.com/SiteLists.htm .

The original source, ARP is always updating this list, the PR of the sites, adding more sites, getting rid of the dead ones and so on.

 

The list has general article sites as well as niche ones. The list would have been a lot useful if the niche was also mentioned with each article site.

Here's a list I found while surfing Over 2000 according to the site. No PR and no mention of niches though.
