Hi there, To attract advertisers, write up a page on why they should advertise on your site (giving proof of unique visitors, where they come from etc.), with a paragraph or two about your site. Here's a good example. If you wanted to rotate banner ads around, try Openads (formerly PhpAdsNew). It allows you to essentially maintain a large number of advertisers while their ads are evenly displayed (or displayed according to a set amount of impressions). Best of luck!
Sell a few thousand impressions on eBay for cheap and try to start to build a loyal advertiser base. Once they see how much traffic they are getting, you can hook them into bigger packages which means more money in your pocket.
Well I'm looking for brand name ads which typically requires double click and such. Does anyone have any more opinions?
35M impressions..... I run a magazine so I know a lot about direct ad sales and even tho you may be taking out the middle man your will be putting in ALOTTT more hours. I know many large companies that are using commission junction and making more then they would with direct ad sales. To start I would recommend you sell one small space on your website and use the rest with adsense and affiliate advertisements until you gain a name with large advertisers.
I used it once and pulled in 100$ in one day, then tested out tribal fusion and earned 700$ in one day. Big difference there.
From what I understand that many ad serving companies like Google, Yahoo and CJ works with sites that bring in a lot of traffic. Why not shoot each of them an e-mail and I am sure they will get back to you with their best offers and advices.
