PayPal has done some recent change it seems and many phpLD directories are getting a 'Invaild Link ID' warning on the return page when the customer returns to the site from PayPal. It is not an error with the phpLD script but some change that PayPal made. Dawzz at phpLD made a fix for this that applies to all versions of the phpLD script. Info and the patch can be found here: http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16093 Everyone running the phpLD script offering paid submissions should read the post by Dawzz and check and patch their paypal.tpl I have noticed many sites returning that error in the last few days so everyone should check their sites and patch if needed.
Thanks for sharing this with us. Changed this in my paid directory and hope no more complain from my submitter regarding 'Invalid Link ID'
maybe he should close that input field ??? some what like this <input type="hidden" name="rm" value="2" />
Right about closing input. Should be valid - not so important. However I noticed even forcing 'get' method may not work on directories using more than 1 return url (for example ads). Can be different. We must wait until PayPal clear that.
Hope this fix has worked for everyone. In case some people did not see the fix they have changed the link to the post which is now: http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16092 Here is a copy below that includes smub's correct change for validation so it is suggested that you use this below:
