So I own MiamiBlog.com. Now what? I'm experienced selling products, ebooks, etc...but this is my first "blog" site that I think has potential. I like the site DallasBlog.com (since it's essentially in the same arena).....does anyone have any hints or links on the best way to make a blog "sticky" so I can get a captive audience and essentially build up the traffic well enough to be able to collect ad revenue? Any thoughts from seasoned vets in the blogging area are appreciated. Will also partner with someone if they have a nice plan on how to earn with this domain. UK
i would break it up into sub blogs nightlife.miamiblog.com, realestate.miamiblog.com, vacation.miamiblog.com Build your traffic for each of the subdomains then look for local advertisers
exactly, why not have different blogs on it and also give away free blogs, perfect link bait! You can create a HUGE network with this!
I like the idea of subdomains. Good stuff. And yes, very familiar with Miami. I called it home for several years and have tons of friends and family there. I can certainly write content at will for nightlife happenings, real estate news, and anything based on events that come to Miami. Keep the suggestions coming...and if this is up anyones alley, feel free to PM me with ideas on partnerships, etc.
Thats more like an idea, it can have big success if you have enough time and resources to give useful informations about Miami and the beauties of Miami, and separating on subdomains the categories as above described it would help you target better the audience.
if you could let other people from miami have their own blog on your site all your content would be updated by your customers and you could easily monetize it, great site name. Aaron
İt should be blog of miami.Travels to miami,News about miami,Events,Concerts like all thing about miami.
I'm thinking of developing the following sub-domains myself, and then "giving away" the rest so people can make their own blogs. travel.miamiblog.com realestate. nightlife. southbeach. restaurants. sports. dolphins. heat. hotels. If anyone else is excited about this and wants to "reserve" their sub-domain and build out a nice page on something they know about Miami, (or to promote their Miami area business!) please claim your subdomain now by PM-ing me or posting in this thread. I'm aiming to have "version one" online within 3 weeks.
