    Forum hackers are attacking 24/7/365 with content scraping bots, forum posting bots, they run scripts to find holes in forums to dump viruses on the server, this happens everyday.

    Shawn is not your average server administrator, he has advanced tools so he can see how many hits per minute he is getting from IP's, find that on his blog.

    I would shrug. it wouldn't make that much of a difference to me. if anything it would help even me out with some people in the 1k posts club

    Nothing is constant in this world, so there is no doubt about not getting hacked. But lets hope for the positive thoughts only.

    By the way, if DP get hacked then who cares, Dp will be rebuilt again.

    I doubt shawn makes regular backups,maybe monthly since the file would be immensely large.

    To be honest it wouldn't matter too much, as stated before because a backup is taking place every few hours/daily, so I wont lose more than about 40 posts. (But on saying this, if everyone lost some posts it would amount up to a lot)
    Although I would be disappointed about how much work Shawn and the members put in and how people just destroy it for fun/whatever.
