I personally think it is ok... why not? Being listed in the yahoo dir generally provides good rankings in yahoo serps. I say it from my personal experience.

I think it's too much. Don't know about traffic you will receive but I think you could invest in more than two or three other, strong directories with this money...
I would like you to provide us with some received traffic info though if you have any.
Time will show if this was a good investment.

Sure no problem, I will keep this thread informed. However it does have other benefits, I am hoping it will improve my serps as well as provide visitors.

Congrats-- it surely is a good investment. I would like to know your site --so that I can compare with mine.
I certainly think it is worth --not only for PR/SERPs or whatever-- but ofcourse because Gaygol recommends it.

I am still developing my site and once it is fully developed --I plan to submit it too. I am of the opinion that half-developed sites are rejected.:(

It's probably the most authoritative link on the web that is easy to get. Go for it.

Ive asked many people about listings in y! directory, and a site I maintain on a daily basis, have looked at its traffic sources and referrals and a very large amount comes from the yahoo listing. so a very good ROI
