I have a ClickBank account, and I was wondering if we are allowed to purchase through our own affiliate link? (I've seen something I wanted for $27, and I'll get $21 commission - so I get the product VERY cheaply)
    Help appreciated, thanks.

Yes you are and almost every affiliate allows you to do it within reason. If you buy everyhting through them then they might throw the ban hammer at you!

For a start, try posting it in the right section. Spamming your sad cry for help around the community wont win you many friends.

If nothing else, purchasing through your own affiliate link helps you meet that 5 credit card number quota for your check.

Hey! I agree with you. The self purchase will definitely help in getting the 5 or more different credit card issue resolved.

you're not cheating the vendor - he still gets the commission. so it's ok (or at least I would be OK with it.)

You can buy through your affiliate link, but it's not a good idea, clickbank team doesn't like this, and if you do it regularly (like you buy 4-5 products through your affiliate link) they might ban you.

That's why I used the word 'might'. The fact the we haven't heared of anybody get banned by Clickbank doesn't mean they've never banned anybody because of this. ;)

But you used the word "might" without any proof that it "might" actually happen...

Anyway, thousands of people and affiliates purchase through their own links and I haven't heard one case of anybody getting banned. In fact, a lot of the ebooks specifically target clickbank affiliates who will purchase with their own links. In the end it hurts nobody except the affiliates that decide to promote these kind of offers.
