i meant that google gives more weight to a .com than a .info

.info is the slag of the internet world

cheap and easy but not reliable.

Its quite a big factor because, if it remain in the search for a period over a year, it begins to increase in trust.

age of the domain does matter when you look for ranking and regular and good content will get it to the top

In ultra competitive verticals like insurance or debt consolidation, it matters a lot. In niche categories with less competition it is not as important.

websites that been ages with active and fresh content everyday. If you get a link from it, sure it can help to improve your site. But it depends on the quality of your sites too. So, everything must be fair.

the algos google uses only increases website thought time that could be the only way an old website is liked.

age site is very important and google uses it for many purposes. One such example is my website which nothing but a sales page. I had not idea about seo those days. I had around 5 back links from pr0 sites.

after 2 years it got pr3. No idea how it google gave it a pr of 3. When i asked it here on dp the replies confirmed age was the reason

I have an eccommerce website that is about 1 1/2 years old. My main competitors have websites about 10-11 years old. I have many more backlinks....and these sites might have like 10-15 backlinks from crappy pr 2 websites and are SEO'ed horribly. They kick my butt............

well my personal exp. says that age is not a big factor. i am not a big SEO expoert and i started my site in FEB this year and now i have a page rank of 5 for my site. yes its true check www.pixelgroups.co m
and inner pages ahev page rank of 4 or 3. so i think it is how u optimise your site is imp and not the age.

Yeah, Google very much like the age of domains as it shows they have been around for a while and are less likely to be illegal or scamming sites.
