Any religion that people feel the need to defend with violence isn't peaceful or conducive to peace.

Lets face it, in the 20th and 21st Century, when man is advanced enough to walk on the moon and create new humans in test tubes, the fact that people are still killing each other over events that happened thousands of years ago just about proves that organised religion isn't peaceful or even or trusted to people that would fail an IQ test to work at McDonalds.
