    I know I have d16man on ignore

    but since you quote him

ok so essentially you think there is a global conspiracy of scientists out there who made up global warming to get grant money, right?

So people who think that there is a 911 conspiracy are crazy, but you guys think there is world wide cabal of mad scientists making up global warming?

    yeah ... ok

In Sim City 3000, planting trees helped with air pollution. I'm sure the ratio of trees planted to lower pollution probably wouldn't be the same, but does planting trees help with air pollution? If so, that would really help my area because I am from the concrete jungle and since most of the buildings have to be torn down, if they planted trees (where the buildings used to be) maybe that would help with the massive amount of pollution the steel mills dump into our local environment.

So, my question is, do trees help with air pollution like it does in Sim City 3000?

Not really - while they do filter the air, they also give off "smog" as well. And, another problem is; is that when a tree dies the amount of carbon dioxide the decaying matter gives off is greater than the amount it ever took in during life. Plus the emissions from the leaves that fall off, etc. So, in the long run, you don't get a lot from them.

My solution is to call up Sharper Image, and have them build 50 story tall ionic air purifiers. If they can get smoke out and dog odor of a house, surely they can get smog out of a city :p

You made me go check the numbers on CO2 concentrations. It increased from 315.98 parts per million by volume (ppmv) of dry air in 1959 to 377.38 ppmv in 2004. So it has increased by 61 ppmv in that 35 year period. That's 61 more parts per 1,000,000 parts or 0.00614%.
    Here's my source: http://cdiac.ornl.gov/trends/co2/sio-mlo.htm

It seems to me a lot of people are ignoring multiple congressional hearings about global warming being snowed out, Cleveland baseball games are snowed out in April, and snow in South Africa for the first time in decades and this happened for the first time in 80 some years in Buenos Aires this week:

Here's what baseball looked like this April (normally they just wear a long sleeve shirt and wait out occasional rains):

It seems to me the global warming theory shouldn't be granted fact status but than again I am just an ad hominem-ish, anthropogenic, ninny, moronic idiot, without a cogent thought.

I don't know man, if you think occasional cold or hot spells, snows or heat waves in unlikely places or seasons proves or disproves global warming then frankly you are stupid and the subject matter is above your head.

I mean if by your logic some snow in buenos aires means there isn't global warming

the what do the record heat waves mean? the planet will burst into flames?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_European_heat_wave

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_European_heat_wave

Its really hot in NY right now, does that mean global warming or is it just july?

Both "OMG its cold somewhere global warming is fake" and the "OMG its hot somewhere , global warming we are going to die" are both not very good or logical arguements

It hasn't been an occasional thing I was point out, there are plenty of occurrences since the rhetoric from the global warming industry heated up. The sky is above your head, it's not falling.
