8,343. Seriously there is no answer to this question. There are 50 variables that determine how many keywords you use.
It is more important to have a nice tracking system in place that uses Sub ID's than trying to bid on 10,000 keywords right off the bat. In general, when I have a mature campaign I usually have over 50,000 keywords in the portfolio. I usually start with 1000 and track them closely.
Its easy to come up with keywords, I won't tell you the tool I use but all you gotta do is find a keyword making tool ( for lack of better words ) Then type inhow many you want related to a subject that you also type in and SHABAM! 10k-50k keywords!
A few good keyword research tool that I use: Google them.. lazy to post links FREE Goodkeywords Massive Keyword List Builder PAID Keyword Transformer (recommended) Keyword Elite (neat software) The Dowser (have this, but don't really use it much) Keyword Analyzer 7 (rather good software!) With the above tools, its a no brainer to come up with HUGE keyword lists. I sometimes run out of 'space' on Adwords to put keywords, and have to remove most of it. Sometimes I hit the keyword cap just with one campaign
No, not really. There will be an average due just to the fact that there are numbers to add and divide, but hearing an average will do no help because it's very dependent on many things. Some campaigns I have 1,500 keywords and get 1k clicks a day, others I have 110k keywords and get 600 clicks a day.
Hey...why do you refuse to share? anyways for someone who needs a keyword generating tool, you can use https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal or http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword/ Good Luck!
Im a newbie. When adding thousands of keyword into a campaign do you add them as broad match and just add negative keywords? thousands of keywords, are all these targeted keywords and most are just related keywords to the offer? when dealing with thousands of keyword and less than half of those keywords is bring in traffic should content network be turned on? My campaign that ive started last week with about or almost 5k keywords gets barely any traffic less than 20/day. should content network be turned on? are you tracking keywords sales when dealing with thousands 10k + KW? or it doesnt matter because you're profiting? thank you.

its all aobut your plan of attack... some campaigns I only have 10 keywords others i have 10000 just do what works for you.
I'm no expert, but many times I'll only have 10 or less keywords. Easy to track, highly targeted, and I can add more as time goes on. I've got software that can generate me 500k keywords in 5 minutes, but forming adgroups and bidding on terms that aren't laser targeted is just a waste of time/money IMO.
I like to start with a 1000 and build from there, and prefer to get to 10K. I have Keyword Elite, takes some time filtering, but works well.
same its not how many keywords its what you do with it/em' on some of my ringtone offers i have 1-3k and all the way up to 5-10,000 on one of my dating campaigns i have about 80 keywords Finance has like 400 keywords Shit changes??
