Banned from my own site ?

I was trying to figure out how the FTP program was working, but after like 10 tries I got 'banned' from my own site ? I can't acces / view my OWN site. How do I fix this ?

BTW; Yes, the server is up. My friends can view the site perfectly, without any porblems.

Are you banned from your website or from the FTP server? Maybe it's just temporarily but if it's permanent then just contact your hoster. Or do you have your own server?

If you want me to explain how to fix it I need more details.

Call/email your host, reboot your IP (if it's dynamic), log-in from another IP and unblacklist yourself (and whitelist yourself too)...

Yup, sounds like your IP got blocked by the server's firewall. Submit a ticket to your host and remember to include your IP.

I would suggest contacting your web hosting provide. My guess is they have some sort of hard limit on the number of successive login attempt/failures.

10 seems a bit excessive.. Ours is around 3.

If he takes the responsibility to become a hoster he also have to know the consequences. He must sort it out for you untill it's solved.

However can you provide us with more details? Like which firewall is the server using?
