I would wait for him to do a chargeback Be sure, nobody would do such a think for amounts up to $50 So, just ignore him.
i'll take a link if it's that powerfull - send paypal info and site details ASAP WAITING FOR AN URGENT REPLY
You are not compelled to give him a refund... I suggest you remove his listing and issue a partial refund... because in fact your service is so good that it ranks no.1 on google... not that you service is bad... if i were you I'd give a 35% refund.
lol Seriously I am laughing to see what kinda request it is. Instead of being happy he is asking for a refund and removing "his own" #1 spot?? Surely something wrong with his head. I see you have already sent him a mail. If in case you have to send an other reply, try giving this thread as a reference. That might change his thoughts.
lol. At least you got the dude to calm down. That's one of the reasons I am moving away from services and towards tangible products. A larger layer of abstraction from my clients... of course this has it's own set of nightmares.
I can;t understand his thought. You provided him with a great link and he wants it removed and also money back? As others suggested, you can edit his detail page and remove the term in question, if this is what he wants.
i might possibly suggest trying to educate the guy. direct him to some blogs or posts detailing what kind of effort it takes to get to a #1 spot for a keyword and also try to explain why some pages rank higher than others. if he doesnt understand search engine rankings then he is not really in a position to ask for a refund. in the act of asking for a refund he has proven that he doesnt understand them so i would leave it as it is. as said previously send him a link to this thread see what he has to say
lol I had been is a situation like your client My site didn't rank for that term but the detials pages of directories ranked but links were pointing to me So but after some time I gained position
The best idea so far He does not need any SEO benefit + traffic therfore you can leave it with a no-follow.
How does that solve the problem? It is content on the directory page that is creating the problem. A nofollow link changes nothing on the directory page.
I guess that many wont agree with me on this but ive always heard the phrase offline that "the customer is always right" now i know and you know that of course their not always right but of course it is meant in the sense that you keep the customer "sweet" sure it may be an annoyance at times but an unhappy customer can lead to dozens of others not coming your way because of your one unhappy guy/lady. They have a lot of power believe it or not, word of mouth can be used negatively too. When they are not satisfied we need to bend over backwards (hurts i know) but were offering a service, were here to serve them.
