Actually He is - His name is the name of the Almighty God and Creator and sets Him apart from all other so-called gods, that is why in the Book of Ezekiel He continually says, "and ye shall know that I am Jehovah".
Similarly, Jesus said, "And I have made known to them thy name, and will make [it] known; that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them and I in them. " (John 17:26).

No it isn't, bible translations generally merely update to a language of the people where it will be used or toa language of the time that the translation has been written.
To suggest that God is not able to preserve His Word and that He would allow mankind to change it so much that He would have to set about writing another is merely an attempt to dishonour God and put limits upon His Almighty Power and ability.
God's Word, as confirmed by Jesus who many times stated "it is written" and then quoted from the scriptures, has been preserved down through time and despite the attempts of some to destroy it or its content it has preserved His message for all.

It's the interpretation of all bible scholars, it has to do with the rebellious Jews of that time, nothing whatever to do with some future person called Muhammed or a book called the Quran.
It is you who are trying to misinterpret it.

History actually shows that Assyrian Kings Sargon 2nd and Sennacharib defeated these Arab Tribes at this time and again this has nothing to do with Muhammed, how could it, he would not arrive on the scene for hundreds of years and this was a battle that was to be completed "within a year".

on the surface! unless you think there is a rhetoric device somewhere in the sentence.

There was a bible sometime in the past, but right now , everyone is just guessing . If God said that sentence , I won't believe in HIM - even if i am on the edge of hellgate - simple as that.

Thankfully God also gave us free will so you are free to believe what you want and believe in Him or not believe in Him.
If you choose not to believe in Him on the basis of YOUR view of one sentence in isolation of its context, again you are free to do that.

That's your belief. To me, it does not make any difference to Him what name we call Him or how many other gods people worship. There is ONLY ONE GOD and He has no bounds.

You're forgetting that God DID NOT protect any other revelation than the Quran. If God was to protect the Bible too, then that could have led to different religion.
Do you know that Yusuf Estes and his fellow priests embraced Islam only after realizing that the Quran has been preserved?
After 14 centuries, even though the Ahadith of the Prophet pbuh have been tampered with, not a single bit of the Quran has been changed. And why is that? Because God has promised in the Quran that He will protect the Quran till the end of this world.

What kind of Bible Scholars? The ones who did this to the Bible?
    Or these ones?
This is really funny. I just had a look at this war. It hardly mentions that he was the King of Arabia! The war took place in Egypt, NOT in some kind of forest of Arabia!
It has no reference to the migration described in verse 15. He himself WAS the King of Arabia. he did not defeat the Arabians!

I made 6 references in 5 verses to tell you how exactly it matched the Battle of Badr.
The fact that "within a year according to the year of a hired man" points towards nothing else than the Al-Hijra calender year which Prophet Muhammad pbuh started in the migration and after which, the war took place.

Yeah. I was kinda researching but couldn't understand the scriptures. Wherever I find them, they are haphazard and I find it really hard to find it.
Anyway, I cannot believe that Dr Zakir Naik lied. He always gives the exact reference for cross reference. I even saw one of his dialogues with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and he presented these prophecies in front of him. All Shankar said was "This shows that we should respect all the Scriptures". So it can be so that the scripture you have is tampered with.
The best thing for you to do is to go to Dr Zakir Naik in IRF in Mumbai and challenge him. I'm quite sure InshaAllah he'll give you the answers.

    Cheers. :)

It's my belief because it is true.
What is your answer to all of the hundreds of references in Ezekiel the "they will have to know that I am Jehovah"?
What is your answer to Jesus saying that he had made God's name known to his disciples?
Why does God tell us His name?
Why does Psalm 83:18 say, "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."?

It is not necessary for God to protect every word of the bible, nor does He wish it to remain in a translation that is so old that people are no longer able to understand it. God's spirit enables anyone who wants to to understand it to do so.
If the Quran was so protected, so perfect and so unifying why so much separation in Muslim religious sects?
Why so much violence, torture and muder amongst Muslims themselves, (not to mention toward non-Muslims)?
Yusuf Estes and others are men and subject to the imperfections and limitations of all men, what they think does not affect the fact that God's word is the bible.

You see here you are finding historical information to fit your particular view of a bible book based on the similarity of one event!
History records Assyria as the the nation bringing the about.
This is what you do whenever you reference the bible, you pluck the odd word or phrase totally out of prophetic' logical or historical context, add a few words (like the battle of Badre, which the scripture doesn't mention at all), and then put forward a completely misguided view of the bible's content.

Okay Ahmad, you believe that the Quran is THE only trustworthy book of God - stick to it but please do not adulterate the bible just to prop up your misguided views.

I totally agree with you, my friend. I would like to add here by saying that Jesus is the Son of God.He died inorder to bring salvation not only to the Catholics, christians,Muslims, Hindu or any other man made religion.Jesus died for all mankind on this earth. After Jesus died for us, we now have the authority to defeat the devil. It is by his shedding of his blood that we can be saved and not by man made prayers.Yes, Jesus is the son of God.

If God wanted to save His Son,Jesus, He could have easily saved him. But it was Gods plan, for he wanted to save the world from Lucifer who was kicked from heaven and fell straight down on this earth and he tried to have the authority over mankind. But once Jesus died for us,we now have the authority to rule over satan. Satan is a lier. He is trying to fool us. He is roaring like a lion. But he is not a Lion. I hope you understood my point. Satan rules the earth. It is only by the Blood of Jesus that we can be saved.

Now the scriptures I read are tampered with, but the ones zakir has are original ? come off it dude. And no I dodnot have any intention of travelling to Mumbai and meet up with zakir. Since you put up the claims , my friend, you will defend them.

Also what do you mean haphazard ? scriptures are organized in verses-hymn-chapter-scripture taxonomy, so there is nothing haphazard.

I would only add that Jesus himself said, (John 3:16) "God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die. "

James 2:19 cautions, "You believe that there is one God. That is right. But even the bad spirits believe that. And they shake with fear. " That's worth thinking about!

so you took a picture with a flash...big deal...what are you trying to prove? I saw a cloud yesterday that looks like a cross...to me that tells me that Jesus is the only way, and that islam is totally wrong...the point of that story is that you get things made up in your head and that no one here can even debate you, because we are all wrong...I don't know why we even bother anymore.

You use the word contradictions on that page, yet you may actually want to read the definition to contradiction, since what you list on the different english versions are not contradictions, just different english translations, some in old, new and even one which is the JW's own edited version.

p.s. Christians here won't remove the heads of those who change the Bible to read what they want so there are a couple of cults with their own bible and some liberal churches around the country who ignore what they don't like to hear - isn't that what the moderate muslims do with the koran? They ignore the commands or pretend that they do as they cheer on the terrorist attacks. (no I didn't say ALL in the above sentence)

Fine. You can believe that God is bound by one name. But according to my belief, it makes no difference.

IT IS necessary for God to protect one Word so that on the Day of Judgment no one says to Him that, "THAT was your word? So many versions? All different?"
And the Quran is perfect. and unifying. The violence and torture have nothing to do with Islam. Those are mad men (not Muslims) in Iran and Iraq fighting against each other.
And the sects are not that different. The FOX people tell you that there was a Shia-Sunni riot in Iran but they do no tell you that there was a Conference of friendship between Shias and Sunni in Pakistan.

I don't think so. If you've seen his complete story, he tells that before converting to Islam, he fell on his face and prayed just like Jesus, Abraham and all Muslims do. And said, "God, guide me".
And God guided him. And he has done research on Islam. You can listen to his thouhts here.

I told you a perfectly prophetic, logical and historical context that fits those verses. Whereas the war you quoted, DOES NOT fit into those verses.

Believe me, I have done thorough research. And if anything like the Gospel of Barnabas existed in Islam, I would never ignore it even if my Imams told me to. Because my faith is in God, not priests.

    Peace.

I mistyped it. I wanted to say that the photo was taken without a flash and is the original one.
But anyway, I could have easily accepted it as a coincidence. But if you can read Arabic, let me tell you that the oval-shaped alphabet on the top left corner stands for "Peace be upon him" in Arabic. That CANNOT be a coincidence. :)

There is absolutely no verse in the Quran that promotes violence except in retaliation. All the verses about war are followed or preceded by a verse that says that peace is better if that is an option. But of course the websites you see, do not quote those verses.

And those verses of the Bible are contradictions. And many of the verses are omitted in different versions. I don't think God is responsible for that.

Ahmad I don't know how you can say that.
Many of those that you call 'mad men' of violence and torture are being led by Muslim Mullahs (Religious Leaders) or are Mullahs themselves, who pray for, support and encourage terrible attrocities.
Some of these Mullahs have armies for heavens sake like Moqtada al-Sadr a Shia Muslim, (generally seen as a religious rabble-rouser), why does a peaceful religious leader need an army?:-
If men like this have nothing to do with Islam, how do they become Islamic religious leaders?
If they do not represent Muslims, how do they command such a following of Muslims?
Why do even Muslims outside of Iraq follow these teachings?
If these actions are not Muslim or teachings from the Quran, why do not Muslims universally condemn those actions?
Why do not Muslims remove such individuals as their religious leaders if they do not represent Islam and the teachings of the Quran?

If violence and turture have no place in Islam, what is happening here Ahmad?
Are these not followers of Islam carrying out Islamic Sharia law in Iran?

Firstly, its good you asked me these questions.

The Mullahs who start fighting in the name of Islam are accountable for what they do. If their campaigns are against humanity and involve hurting innocent people, they are wrong. If you don't know, there recently was a militia movement against the Pakistani government by such Mullahs who said that they were doing "Jihad". But many Scholars from all over Pakistan condemned their action and told them that this was un-Islamic. So much so that the Imam of the Kaabah came to Pakistan and told them that they were wrong.
So, you can find all sorts of people. It doesn't matter what they do, what matters is if they are following the command of God.

Secondly, as for the stoning let me tell you that every Islamic Sharia Law is for prevention. So that there is no question of a crime.
The punishment of stoning is equal for both genders. That woman should have realized before committing adultery that Islam allows her to leave her husband if she really wanted to go for that man. And also that she will be strictly punished for betraying her husband and children like this.

If there aren't strict rules against adultery and fornication, one day the whole world might be HIV +ve.

your whole argument for anything is based on what you see as a coincidence....let me ask this..why would you take a picture in a mirror anyway? I still think its the flash, but it is also easy to see that that image could have been easily added with a program such as adobe photoshop or imageready...as usual, you are one who cannot be argued with, and you are the only one who has the right answer....I bet you are also a decendant of Mo (maybe when mo married the 9 yr old GIRL??), which makes you right...right?

Lint on the lens is more likely what it is if there wasn't a flash. Maybe he was just taking a picture of the "angel of light" that spoke to Mo in the first place?
