A 27% surge in the share price of America Movil, Latin America's largest cell phone operator controlled by Slim, from March to June made him close to $8.6 billion wealthier than Gates. Bill Gates firstly is the better man... This crazy mexican probably hasn't donated a cent to charity and thats what counts... basically they don't count how much money the person has made in their life time... Rather how much money they have at a point in time... So donated money doesn't count... And if you count the amount of money, Billions of dollars, he has donated he is still the richest man... He donates this money to the sick, mostly malaria research. He is still the smartest and kindest man out there. He doesn't he anounced he doesn't do it for the money and the world must be fair so he donates his money... BTW he dropped out of Harvard to start up Microsoft... Well he dropped out of Harvard because he started Microsoft really. He was a programmer and when he created an OS for a company... They asked him what his company name was so he and his friend, not sure what happened to him, called it Microsoft, because they created software for microcomputers. That's how it started... I don't think Bill Gates cares about his "kingdom" any more. Unlike most rich people, you see he donates alot of his money to charity. And why would you worry about money if you have 59 billion dollars.
If I had the kind of money Bill has it would not bother me in the slightest, 59 billion is more money than a man will ever need.
I think he's done, from what I've heard he's not really fighting to get back on top, as longhornfreak said, I think he's more concerned about things like the bill and molinda gates foundation then having more money then everyone else in the world. He's been the richest man for quite some time now, it's someone else's turn.

Very very true, although he isn't giving the title he just doesn't care... So other people try just take it, if they can, he just spends his money and donates it not caring of the top title. He is a good man and he doesn't care about money, he already said that... I don't think 'his kingdom is getting decayed' but I don't think he's going to be on top again. He's retiring soon, but he'll still own Microsoft I believe. In a few years there will probably be more options to Microsoft's Windows, hopefully.
