hi, i have few proxy site, i amde it like 2 months ago. first month i made good money of it, but this month it fall down almost more than half. also traffic fall down. so any advice? how can i get traffic to my proxy sites? thanks P.S i have submit to top proxy sites, but doesnt bring good enough quality traffic.
I disagree. There's still a lot of potential traffic that your site could be pulling in if you know how to get it. Remember that there are plenty of countries that don't have the 3 month long summer holiday, thus there are still plenty of students trying to bypass their school's web security. That being said, yes, the reason you pulled in good money last month and not this month is because of school being "out" for the summer. Expect it to pick up again around mid August-September, but don't give up trying and experimenting with other advertising methods when it's quiet.
Thanks all for the advice. aha now i understand why my revenue fall. i will try to get traffic from asia and Europe, thanks
Check out other country's school systems Not sure but.. maybe Australia students are still in school? Anyways, have you tried article marketing ?
Yes, Australian students are still in school. The education department here has enforced a very strict firewall on all government school computers, so students are constantly trying to find proxies. It might be wise to start a proxy without "proxy" in the domain name - as far as I know all domain names with proxy (or spelling close to the word proxy) have been blocked.
Yes traffic and earnings have dropped off due to the summer break. Just prior to commencement of the new school year, I recommend adding your proxies to these sites for free links and traffic: http://www.theproxyindex.com http://www.proxytally.com/ Also add them to del.icio.us and stumbleupon - I see good traffic from both these sources.
The better keyphrases include the word proxy and if you type in "myspace proxy" to G, surprise, surprise, the majority of high results all have proxy in the domain name. So if you wish to sacrifice an apparently non-trivial rankings boost (and a lot of traffic), then, yes, avoid using "proxy" in the domain name. It has never done any of my proxies any harm. I have several with proxy in the domain name and reviewing the traffic I receive from the US, UK, Canada and Oz, it'd be very difficult to convince me that they were blocked. Sound theory, but at least in my case not backed but by practical results.
In the sumemr time you can try to get traffic from asia and europe. Submit your site to many proxy lists, buy myspace or email marketing, try some seo, google adwords....
