One of my clients (I do server management) Is looking for a inexpensive, good rep, dedicated server host that we can trust. We've had some bad experiences with layeredtech. they've lost one of our backup hard drives from when he got hacked before I came. been lost for a while and they still can't find it (300+ clients) then we started getting network problems and we've had it.

Same source of bandwidth then layeredtech is softlayer. Cost a bit more, but you get way more service.
www.liquidweb.com they are the best of the best, I have been with them for almost a year and a half now, I love their services and they have VERY competitive prices don't go with layeredtech, they don't care about you as a client -- I was using them before moving to LiquidWeb (and I won't ever go anywhere else now)
what price range are you looking for? Top? datapipe, rackspace Good, but less expensive - ServInt, SoftLayer, Steadfast, NAC, Voxrox
I get my dedi. at GoDaddy. My site has yet to be down without me either rebooting the server or asking for a reprovision. My site is always very fast and I am very impressed with GoDaddy's dedicated server plan. It's cheap at only 80 a month (use coupon each month and its 60). Can't beat it.
yeah mine is with godaddy the price is quite a bit higher then most servers but there customer support is one of the best i have seen.
I use liquidweb as well... their support is AMAZING! Server prices are competitive. I called them at 3:00AM once when someone was DDoSing my site, their support answered and within 5 minutes, my site was back online and their tech was blacklisting all the IPs attacking my server.
