Anybody receive a newsletter from Aviva Directory? I don't remember signing up but it's an interesting concept. However, I'm not sure if it's smart to include 10+ links in the email as my spam catcher got it in a flash. What are Your Thoughts on directories using newsletters?
I received it, but it didn't go to spam. It's the first time after a couple years I have ever received a newsletter from Aviva. I didn't consider it spam at all. I'm sure Jeff would be happy to remove you though if you replied and asked... I imagine it was sent to everyone who has submitted as the information may be of interest to them.
I think it's an interesting idea for a newsletter. Just wondering what other people think about the concept of using it for directories? (It only showed as spam because the large amount of links) I don't personally think it's spam.
Sure great believer in Newsletters with good content, have used them for years and yes they are very well received always delivered via opt-in with option to unsubscribe Standard proven method in certain niches
hmm I didnt get one in my main e-mail not sure if I got it in the other as I cant check it from this PC.
i just got one a few minutes ago..i have no issue with getting it..alot better than cialis emails ..People,i can throw the "football" through the tire!
It's a great concept for niche directories who want to keep thier submittors up to speed, it was one of the very reasons I picked phpLynx for my script as it encorperates the use of a newsletter module to do this for me. A lot of custom can be gained from its use but only if its used properly of course. It's something that's bound to catch on with directories and scripts evolving by the day.
I agree 100%, a good directory owner would be careful not to spam, I'm sure Avivadirectory mentioned by the OP fits that. It's all about initiative, if you don't let your customer know about offers how they gonna know. Newlsetters is a great way to keep them clued up.
It was a surprise for me but landed right in my inbox @ Gmail. Honestly I really enjoyed the update. You gotta admit, Aviva knows whats up so when they send an email, its prolly got some good stuff. I actually signed up for their email list, but have not recieved anything from Aviva in months. The content in the email was informative but as a bonus AVIVA would make a killing if they included a coupon code for the directory inside the email. A lot of people don't know that aviva offers an affiliate directory so the coupon code could get them in the door.
Since it's so rare to get one from Aviva (first time, I think), you know it must be something important.
Try reading the newsletter again - I believe they did include a coupon code valid through the end of this month.
Yeah, I censored that out to make sure because I believe it's for only aviva directory listings, hence the email.
It is important, this article is excellent and worthy of being a newsletter: http://www.avivadirectory.com/domain-law/ Mike
yeah I have also rec. the newsletter from Jeff. I think this is first I have rec. the same and its really special one as this newsletter is having $20 discount code. thx jeff for the same
I received it today (in my inbox, gmail has a very good spam filter), as I've only this week made submissions to Aviva and didn't subscribe to newsletters I'm pleased to hear it's a one-off and appreciate the coupon code which came with it. I was pleased to see an 'unsubscribe' option: To unsubscribe, please click here. Company Name, Address and Contact Details Thought I'd click it just to see where it sent me, expecting a form, but just got this: You have been successfully unsubscribed. But I didn't want to be unsubscribed Hoping Jeff sees this and puts me back on the list
Yep, i got it in inbox as well.(I am using gmail).Anyway, Congrats Jeff on acquiring Umdum Directory Saad
