"Templates Sponsorship" subcategory in Link Sales

As a Wordpress themes designer I find it difficult to find sponsors for my themes in the Link Sales forum. OKay, maybe my themes are not good, but I've also seen many other designers' themes that look great, but no one has placed a bid on them.

I think the problem is that when you post a thread in the Link Sales forum, your thread disappears from the first page in about just 1 hour. And that kills the buying activity. I would say besides a good theme you also need good luck to receive a bid in the first hour of your auction.

Therefore I'd like to suggest a new forum category "Templates Sponsorship" in the BST section and maybe include it under the Link Sales section. I think this would also bring more quality themes, as it would be easier to find sponsors for your themes.

Just my suggestion. If you design templates or buy sponsor links, it would be great if you could share your opinion and vote.

P.S. Mods, I understand if this can't be done, but please at least explain me why.

 

i said yes since i look to buy some links on other's and i am now currently working on launching my own wp themes and sell sponsored links it wouldnt be a bad idea thats for sure

 

Not a bad idea, especially since I've been buying designs left and right ready to code..lol

 

Yeah, nowadays is it more on luck then on the design quality, so I think it would be better and also more competitive which means better design quality.

But I'm really don't believe that this would happens.

 

I personally believe it is a good idea,and it will facilitate the business for designers and link seekers at the sametime.
There are heated debates going on out there in the wordpress community about the sponsored theme population explosion. In such a scenario I doubt the possibility of DP implementing this, because it could be considered as a step taken in favour of sponsored theme designers or sellers.
But its good for us if it happens. Hope for the best.

 

Very good idea. I have vote for YES. It would be better because it can be sometimes 1 hour chance to find your sponsors. When you write something additional to your thread, its considered as infraction.
So Yes, because of better chance of gaining you sponsors

 

Absolutely! It is messing up the link sales forum now. A new forum would be nice for that.

I would vote yes providing that the then FREE released themes are promoted in the freebie section and not in the template section.

I have previously had thread moved from the themes section into the Freebie section and others have not! I'm not suggesting any thing funny is going on just that if we are having specific sub catagories they should be used as such.

One of the problems I have is that in reality I have no real objection to the themes being shown in that section providing that all can be shown there.

Since my threads were moved, I have published themes in the FREE section and there is very little response (via posts) in this section yet the ones I have posted previously in the Themes section even though they may not have been better themes have had good resposes.

 

I'm pro - it's just useful to divide, and there are quite a few of "sponsor my template" threads in link sales, so I say "yes".

 

The b/s/t section could deffinatly use some more organizing. It especially needs a social book mark section, the amount of stumble exchanges in the freebies is crazy.

Interesting debate, but if we seperate sponsorship of themes to another forum, then where do we draw the line? we could keep seperating and seperating untill we are left with forum threads all over the place....

 

draw the line for what? to what? we should only keep separating until the forum is organized...
