Whats Googles #1 Factor?

What determines Google Search engine placement the most...

1. Backlinks
2. Content
3. Domain Name

Anyone know?

 

You really can't simplify it to one thing only, but the one factor that makes the most difference, is #1 - Backlinks. Example of why you can't simplify it like this: Who would want to link to your site if your content sucks? So yes, links are most important, but getting links with crap content would be extremely difficult. To be effective, you really need to have a complete strategy that incorporates all the elements of SEO.

Now, Google is also tracking and factoring user behavior through free tools like Google Analytics, Adsense, Google Toolbar, and Feedburner. If site visitors stay on your site a while, they may raise your ranking, but if they immediately bounce back to Google after not finding what they want, your ranking can go down.

But, yes, as far as the algorithm is concerned, links are #1.

 

All of them has factor to considered by Google...

but for me Google emphasized more on your content

 

Its not one aspect, its a combination of various factors. But backlinks are the most important role in your Google ranking.

2. Using keyword in Domain Name
3. Unique content, based on your niche topics and keywords

 

in my opinon,

1- apply on site seo
2- build so many backlinks
3- wait until you get out of sandbox

 

I concur with backlinks being most important. but if your content blows it won't help much.

 

You have to do it all. Especially when you are going for the more competitive terms.

 

Just want to share what I know so far.. :

getting top 1-10 position in google :

Step 1 : Keyword analysis
Step 2 : Onpage SEO - Optimize the title, H1 tag, ALT tag, title tag, Content
and linking strategy.
Step 3 : Offpage SEO - Building backlinks (with keywords in the title tag), mini
sites, submit sites to high PR directories.

All of these are factors of SE ranking..

but Google weighted more on backlinks factor...

That's why quality links, the king and the content is the queen...

 

It all falls on backlinks. Its the numero uno factor.

 

I think content is king and back link is queen, not the otherwise. If you are looking for money and conversion rate, it's useless you got ranked well in SERPs but no one want to clicked your ads/buy your products.

 

I think it's backlinks.

 

Quality Backlinks & Quality Content.

 

The most important factor is relevance

you can have a billion backlinks with the anchor "big juicy lovin" but that won't help you rank for "golf clubs"

so to clarify, just saying "backlinks" is telling half the story, the absolute most important thing in regards to traffic is relevant anchor text.

 

to gather a lot of backlinks... you need good content.

If you have poor quality content...you could buy those backlinks ... but sooner or later your funds will be over and then you can shit in your website for good.
Natural backlinks are the one who propel your rankings because they are always(more or less...) relevant and some could offer you good amount of traffic also.


So cut the crap with the backlinks !

 

As they all say - content is KING!

But now i think relevance takes over.

IMO backlinks are a bit of a taboo area, i say this as i have pages with basicly zero back links ranking over competitors pages with 1'000's !
