Users BEWARE! Do NOT sell to 4rebates

I sold two sites to 4rebates last year, while under the directly express impression, that they would take over the site and continually grow the sites.

I did not want to sell just for the money, but I wanted to actually sell them to an owner that would take care of the sites.

Both sites are crapholes now. Filled with spam, ads everywhere, no maintenance on the sites, and the sites are completely shot.

BEWARE: do not sell to 4rebates, they will just take your site and never touch it again.

    BEWARE!

Once a person buys a site is it not theirs to do with as they see fit?

Once you let the site go, it was out of your hands. You have no right to tell them how to run it, no matter how crappy it was.

Well, what can I say... they're his sites. I don't see any violation in that.

When you sold the site to him, did he agree to the terms of "keeping them exactly the same"?

That's what I was going to ask next.

    Yes, actually, they did.

I'm just letting everyone know, if you care about a site and if it stays a good site, don't sell it to this guy.

    he's a horrible buyer.

No offense, but when I'm selling a site, I'm more interested in how much $$$ he's giving for it, rather than whether he takes care of it or not.

Now if it a website I'm emotionally attached too(like my first one, or my personal blog), I'd never sell it, unless Steve Jobs hands over Apple Inc. to me. :D:D

Sorry but I'd have to agree with just about everybody in this thread.

Its his site. Not yours anymore.

I agree and your making him appear as a scammer. Maybe this should be locked?
