OJ is good, actually. Pretty much any liquid besides pop.

Whenever I get sick, I go out and play basketball.

Staying active is the best way for me to beat a cold. If I lay there in bed resting, I stay sick longer.

    We're all different, though.

I honestly think you may be "Sweating out the germs". I do the same thing.

The next best thing is this weird substance that's called h2o, works wonders :D

Get a lot of sleep, and pull the blankets tight. I find sweating also helps me get rid of colds faster. :D

Just forget about the cold and get on with it.

Sometimes "not thinking" about something too much helps keep it away.
    I call it (law of attraction) ^ -1 :p

PS: This might not be 100% successful, or even 10% successful - buy hey, it's worth a try :D:D

Eat as much garlic as you can stomach. It builds up immunity like you wouldn't believe. It's also great for warding off others!!! So you won't spread your germs :)

Couple bottles of Smirnoff (shameless plug) should do the trick, you will still be sober by sunday to pack your bag..

Zinc can help if taken within the very early stages of a cold. There are special tablets and lozenges with this and other possibly helpful bits in- though some of them have yet to be proved effective.

Be very careful flying if you have a cold. Especially if your ears or sinuses are blocked, inflamed or painful. You can cause serious damage (and excrutiating pain) including burst ear drums! And there's not much you can do at several thousand feet in the air! You can't just tell the pilot your ears are hurting, so take the plane down. :)

It may be an idea to visit a doctor just to check things aren't too severe, plus he/she might have some suggestions.

It's good, it helps build defenses against the harmful bacteria with it's vitamin C.
Oh and good luck getting rid of it.
