If you were an agent/affiliate for a web deisgn company, what do you think would be the best ways to promote the services online and refer business? OK i can add text links, banners and articles to my sites, but i want to think a little outside the box. Would a "review" style site work for this kind of thing? Any ideas will be warmly welcomed, ty DP
Free templates/quotes would be a good idea to draw people in, and of course samples of work done, etc. I myself can do my own design but would outsource for the HIGH quality work. I also see a lot of web design shops sell sites on ebay just as a referral source. It's a highly competitive field so you need to stand out in some regard.
Ebay - hadnt thought of that. Many thanks EFS. The design company is about to plug into our affiloate program MoreNiche, and im trying to come up with some new/different affiliate resources. An ebay template could well help Any other ideas peeps?
here's one, offer your services at a low price in some forums where there is alot of traffic. Once you have the first wave, u can easily get alot of sales because these people usually comes back to you when they find u are good.
Thanks Michael. My predicament is the design company are not the kind to offer a design for $500, or a load of banners for $5 a pop. They have a very consultative approach and specialise in ecommerce - sites that sell - its quite a unique proposition. But you are right, I think they will have to do some jobs very cheaply at 1st to get their name around. What im looking for is an intuitive reource that my affilates can use to generate and convert traffic.
oh, i get what you mean, didn't read closely at first. If you are promoting for someone design company, there's one idea which someone use it on me. I bought a report somewhere regarding how to leverage on ebay. and in that report, this guy introduce me to his designer, saying all the good things about him and finally provide a link to him. I guess that's an affiliate link. I dun find the designer very artistic but I guess someone would. And this is probably one way to promote?
Good work is the best promotion u can get. On our designs we put an textlink on, to our site, many new clients came just through that. Other idea is: making a free offer like 10 Designs for free - test us... something like that.
