Hello everyone, Right now I have one website that receives about 50,000 daily unique visitors and 1,000,000 page views daily. It's ranked in the 2-3k alexa range and the site is still growing. I believe I could hit the 1k alexa rank in several months. I got sick and tired of getting crappy ads displayed from 3rd party ads like fastclick, tribalfusion, burstmedia, and adtragity. I'd like to start doing some direct advertisement. The problem I'm having is finding good quality and brand names to advertise on my website. Could anyone help me out with this? Also, if you've ever used doubleclick, zedo or adjuggler please respond. I'd like to know as much as I can about this.
Have you considered CPA ads? (ie. affiliate programs) Affiliate networks such as CJ.com, Sharasale, Linkshare, Performics have a lot of great partners. Performics is one of my favourites and they have a lot of big corporations in their system so finding a reputable company to advertise isn't too difficult. Another benefit of CPA is the potential for huge earnings. If you can figure out what your visitors are receptive to you can make a whole lot more on CPA than other types of ads. Best of luck.
with a website with 1 million impressions daily, you would have the clout to talk directly with advertisers and cut out the middle man. Without knowing what your site content is, I can't help you any further.
Ok, and so you are a DP regular that is undercover?! and got another username for the purpose of starting this thread? -1 post-
What the hell are you talking about? I've visited this site for the past 2 years but recently forgot my accounts username or password. I had to make another acount.
Who cares if it's a new or old member... undercover or not... does that change his/her problem or the answer he/she would get?
Exactly... Also, I will look into some CPA ads though I think my site would best preform using CPM since it gets tons of impressions. The rate it seems to be going now it may hit 40M impressions this month. I hope someone on this site with experience doing direct advertising with brand names helps me out here.
You're going to get capped pretty quick on any CPM campaign anyway due to your gigantic number of pageviews per visitor. Most campaigns don't want to see their ad repeated to the same user more than a few times per day, you're getting almost 200 pageviews per visitor per day, so expect a large amount of them to be non-monetized or monetized by bottom feeders at under 5 cents CPM. Without any knowledge of your exact site demographics it's hard for anyone to tell you. Unless you're a very focussed site you probably won't get a lot of direct advertisers (that kind of traffic screams teenager/torrent/online game/arcade to me) and your best bet will be to chain your ad networks together to maximize your revenue.
I agree with tke71709... if you want quality ads, you need to have quality traffic. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try. Why not just contact the companies you want to advertise directly? You should try a combination of ad networks, rotate the ads and watch the payouts... keep the best ones.
What is your website about? I would be willing to buy advertisment on your site if it fits my targeted audience and the price is right. Please PM me more detail.
Auction ads alone would bring in about 12k per month on those numbers, and you could still use other feeds.
Well the unique visitors seems to be jumping around. One days its 40k the other its 80k. Same goes for impressions one day its 950k the other 1.1m. The site is growing fast and I expect it to receive much more visitors. I run a gaming/anime type of sites so consumer electronics would sell very well on the website and other type of goods. What I'm wondering is how should I contact these advertisers and how to find them.
If I don't do direct advertising would it be best for me to rotate ads between different agencies like tribalfusion, fastclick, burstmedia, adtegrity, etc?
you don't contact advertisers, usually, they contact you. You should put up an advertise with us lnk at the bottom ofthe page. Maybe even try Clicksor's ECAS.
You could visit similar sites to see what advertisers your competitors have. Then contact them and offer them your services.
