What is the easiest way to find all dead links on your websites. I ask because when I check my Google Webmaster account my site report deadlinks but does not show which pages they are on.

Nice tool. i use the google webmaster tools to find the error pages that the googlebot finds, but i think this gives a more clear report.

if you want to check the external links use something like php's script file_get_contents() to check each link exists.

Google Sitemap normally tells you if you have search engine visible dead links. The tools that were mentioned by the others are definitely great as well.

Once you find them, you have to remove them.

If you're using PHP and MySQL you can easily use a regex to find the dead links, and then you can rewrite them and save to the database. Anytime you can combine two steps into one is well worth it.

Thanks guys, this forum rocks. Xenu it is, too bad Google Webmaster Central only tells you the link that is dead no the page that link is on. That would make it easier for us webmasters.
