You mean it actually decreased your earnings? That's pretty strange. Usually what happens is that just your CTR drops a bit, due to the fact that most users stay on your site for a couple seconds and then leave.

I'd stop stumbling for now and see if your earnings go back up. Then you'll know for sure if it wasn't just a coincidence or not.

Maybe they are not converting so there is adecline in cpc. How long have you been using Stumbleupon?

Might make sense... if you are pushing your CTR down... G might start showing lower paying ads... etc.

Interesting observation. I was just about to give Stumble Ads a try... I think I'll be sure to not use it on a page that has ads!

Mine have raised over the last two days due to StumbleUpon... though, likely due to one of my pages going viral with over 1000 impressions (and several clicks) in 24 hours.

Though, I have noticed on my other pages/sites that it does tend to drop some, at least based on cost per impression.

i don't think there is any relation between adsense and stumble! but the problem would be of CTR so try to maintain good CTR!

Well there is a relation between the referrer and ads. If you search google for a keyword and visit the site. The Ads will be served based on keywords.

If SU is known to be the worst converting, i see no reason why you would get high paying ads. After some time, the ads will be automatically be lower CPC ads since there is no conversion and only impressions are being created for the ads.

Digg and stumbleupon are great traffic builders but worst revenue makers. you need to think what you want at the end of the day, choice is yours

i am completely agree with you..if it is about traffic then ok for digg and su..
but both the ctr and earning from cpc will always be low.

What is stumbleupon? Will it hurt my overall earning from ad sense? For example, if someone goes to my blog directly and not through stumble upon, will my earnings still be hurt from the lower paying ads that Google is displaying or will they be higher paying ones since they directly visited my site?

well, if you do stumble the traffic are limited man you will get traffic for 1 or 2 days. might earn soemthing but i dont think adsense earning will be less for that.
may be u have some other factor, try to figure out
