    Dream Weaver vs HTML

I here both sides good and bad most say stick with code its a better inclusion to learn it. Dream Weaver which is very fancy and easier for the designer.

I think dream weaver is good Im lazy at code but if I knew code better I blast through it.

is their any really good live tutorials on basic html" you know the lind that the cursor moves around and points you to the draft?? any help is okay" I need to get to know code" any comment out their"

i have dwaever on my pc but it seems ruff! is their any really good free tutorials out thier??;)

I like hand coding, but I also like getting stuff done at a rapid pace, so I use DreamWeaver.

I learned coding from using DW. Just keep checking the source code. Don't know of any tuts off hand.

Time is money. Let DW do the hardwork.

the best place to learn coding is w3schools, it has examples for each code and you can modify it online easily and see the result!
and you will learn it by standards and won't have the trouble to make your code W3C validated later!

Dreamweaver is horrbile. produces shitty uncompliant code mostly due to the users lack of knowledge when it comes to using it. makes people lazy. and the developers should die horrible deaths for even introducing it to the public. now every idiot that downloads it illegally thinks that he or she is a web designer and takes business from us real developers who actually took the time to learn the skill and are actually good at it.

aside from my rant, there's www.htmlplayground.com that has a nice interactive interface for learning how to use tags properly.

If you want to become a coder then hardcode everything, if not, use dreamweawer.

I think to learn coding you have to have to just get your hands dirty. Build your first website. I learned using notepad and didn't rely on anything else. I'm pretty thankful now that I can actually read tables and understand how to edit them. :)

    I somewhat agree with you;)

your info is of the essence especially since I already bought DW but maybe I can sell it.
More people should stick to natural html tactic. Its just the time constraints that really bug me. as far as developing a web site is concerned"
I would rather learn the right way to do this. this way you know for sure your web site will have a smooth ride up into the serps" as for all the Dream Weaver fans" have you found a niche meaning does your web site rank well in the serps and do the products sell can Dream Weaver do all that a well developed html web site can do??? thats a really direct question can DW do what HTML developed sites can???

when you say >> well, Dreamweaver outputs HTML. it just does a poor job of it.

do you have proven facts? how about all those that claim fame and have made thousands of dollars with their DW designed TEMPLETS> is that a problem online or maybe your directed more toward html school".

i use dreamweaver strictly for color coding and built in FTP.

i hand code everything cause it seems the WYSIWYG adds a bunch of code thats not needed.

If the page looks ok in IE and firefox it does not matter if the code is not perfect. 100% validating are not going to get you higher in the serps than 98% anyway.
When I use dreamweaver I check the code also to get the best from two worlds.

I like using dreamweaver because it's easy to do complicated layout/template (many tables/cells).

basically it speeds up most of the work even though i can hard code.

I agree with Ibalance sounds like coding is a really big issue with Dreamweaver"

thus the soft ware is quiet complexed and not only that you could waste valuable time and effort building sites with the DW software and literally get nothing out of it"

unless their is a really good success rate with DW" I haven't herd it so far" who has really made it to the top with Dreamweaver
