Maybe i should wait longer but I'm seeing on this thread that a lot of people are only earning 80 cents-2 dollars a day which means that each commision on average pays very little. I can make 80 with jsut a single adsense click and usually make 20 cents a click.

The ebay affiliate structure sucks cause ebay takes away so much of it. That results in tiny commisions.

You really make money from new signups i'd say. I made a 25$ commission within a couple days of using the program.

This problem of untargeted ads often appearing - I thought one solution might at least be to add a sentence saying "Refresh page to see more low eBay prices on Teenage Ninja Turtle Memorabilia" or whatever. It sounds really cheesy, but on reflection you will actually be drawing some attention to what's on offer so it might even be a plus.

Only thing I am not sure about is, is this against TOS? Shouldn't be - after all, it is PPA, not PPC, and anyway, it's a way of solving a fault with AA... I waded through the Terms of Use and couldn't find anything, but then I am lazy about reading that stuff...

They pay over 50% of what they get. The bulk of the gross sale amount goes to the seller.

Dunno man, seems like adsense is way more profitable.

I don't think anyone (well, not many at least) have said that AA is a better earner than Adsense.. it is a great way to increase your earnings in ADDITION to adsense though...

    Exactly

I call it the horse **** theory. You can even monetize horse **** provided you throw enough traffic at it.

Very interesting topic. I am firmly against ebay and definitely in favour of adsense, since I know so many affiliates generating in excess of $200+ per day. Most of whom quit their jobs to concentrate more and more on their blogs and sites.
These people are not regularly posting in forums and generally keep themselves to themselves but nevertheless earn a very handsome living out of Adsense.

    Bans= Buildanichestore.com

The script cost $97 but to be honest it makes sites easier to setup than using ebay's tools.

I'm also a powerseller on ebay, but I'm trying the BANS sites to see if they will bring in more money by selling the bigger items on ebay.

You can control the min price on AuctionAds - the other thing is that your getting the top tier of eBay payouts - 75% -- That is very hard to get on your own.

    Be careful about using BANS.

I've seen two quality sites (one with articles self-written by a practicing guitarist) deindexed from Google because of it.

    Total 129096 695 0.54 $0.0

    700 clicks no money :(

With adsense I would have made at least $20-30

bffft I hope after 30 days it pays off

Yea auction ads is a huge disapointment. The concept simply doesn't work for 99% of sites. There are a few people making a lot of money with this but for the average webmaster the payout is either very minimal or nonexistant.

I don't agree Ned. AuctionAds is performing better then anything else I tried on one of my sites (it outperforms Adsense by a lot).
I do think the site is quite average though in terms of monetization.

Read what IamNed wrote again - more carefully this time.

As he said, whether or not this will work for you seems to depend very much on the type of site and who your visitors are. I think he's correct - the majority of sites are going to see little or no revenue from Auction Ads. And the fact that it's outperforming AdSense on your site doesn't negate what IamNed said at all.
