Opt in Emails

    I am very new to the online world of business. I have come across the idea of Opt In Emails. Has anyone used this method of advertising? Is it worth the money? Are there any sites I should focus on?

    If you mean building a list of opt in subscribers, then I can say your getting warm. Building a list is the key to how people earn big money online.

    Never buy 1000's email lists from any site, its very risky, better learn about email marketing before implementing it..

    I utilize email marketing through autoresponders and it works very well the way I have it set up. All you need is a lead capture page, several affiliate programs, an autoresponder filled with several followup messages. Last part of the recipe is to have a continuous source of traffic such as PPC.

    I can enter many competitive niches and build a list practically for free even when paying for traffic. That's because I subsidize the lead costs by promoting different affiliate products in my autoresponder sequence.

    The good thing about building an email list is that you're building an asset that you can tap into for a long time. If you lose everything else, you'll still have your email list to get the ball rolling again.

    As a beginner though I think the best idea is for you to just concentrate on building content sites and get some casflow going first. It can take a bit of skill to create a lead capture page that converts well and write email messages which compel readers to click your links.

    Great points, might I add that another great traffic source for this is owning your own membership program. If you set that membership site up with a built in affiliate program then you build your list and an army of affiliates that help you promote and sell.

    I use optin all the time - I tend to create free reports and publicize it so I can gather leads

    all those reports are free as long as they join my list and they are well thought out reports too which is very useful
