Its you who said it is about lust, not the guy people, or anybody else for that matter. Of course it is also about love, you dont have a clue kid. Divorce rate higher ? What statistics did you learn that from ? You are just assuming things and then you think that is the facts.

Children will still be born by woman. If its allowed, not everybody will turn gay. Infact there will not be more gay people, the law cannot decide for or against that.

You are ludicrous. I'm not telling you what to do.

Furthermore, my views about gay marriage doesn't mean I "don't give a shit about it." I care about gay rights. I don't believe there's a problem with two consenting adults who just so happen to be of the same sex getting married.

Please get off your high horse. Yeah, now I'm telling you what to do.

Right - sorry folks, I read the opening proposition/vote, duly voted, and jumped straight to the 'post' button. I didn't bother to read your opinions en-route. (and why should I ? :p )

If gay people want to celebrate their love for each other, then fine. You can create your own ceremony, and invite your family/friends.

Marraige, however, has a specific meaning... it's a union between a man and a woman. (or at least, that's how it is in the UK). This is partialy based on Christian phillosophy, but MOSTLY based on tax breaks. (and a residual sense of nationalism in the government, in that they would like a future generation of tax payers to be born.. which generaly requires the ikky subject of sex and procreation. )

So for purely semantic purposes... gays cannot have a Marriage.
For Romantic purposes... they can create their own ceremony of union, swear their personal vows of undying love, and celebrate their.. whatever.

    What's the problem here ?

Doesn't bother me that much ... I'm a badly drawn cat... It's not like it's going to effect me either way :p

Why do I have to be gay to care about tolerance?

No, I am not gay. I am straight. I have a boyfriend. But I appreciate tolerance. I have several gay friends and family members, I've seen what they go through, and I advocate equal rights for homosexuals.

    Oh, please.

Just because you have never met a woman who didn't want kids doesn't mean they aren't out there. I'm living proof. There are plenty of women who don't want kids. That doesn't make us any less of a woman because we don't want to saddle ourselves with child bearing responsibilities.

I don't think I will change my mind. However, if I DID decide to have a child, I would only have one and it would not be until much later in my life.

I don't need to have kids to feel fulfilled, thank you. I'd rather concentrate on my career.

I'd rather wish you luck... you seem to have a limited understanding of women. Not all women are the same. We are not just baby machines. :p

There are lots of people out there that do not want children.

I'm a girl, I'm straight, and I'm never having children.

I'd like to see those statistics as well. Have you polled every woman in the world?

you do know women can have a kid and a succesfull career.. having kids or not is your decision... but finding a guy who doesn't want to have kids sooner or later is going to be tough to find... it's in our DNA... people jsut have to mate sooner or later...

btw having your kid at a later age = problems for the kids.

However, I can see from a financial point of view in not having kids, but if you have a good job, then that should be of no cause..

That wouldn't bother me at all! I have had several close friends and family members come out to me. If my child were gay, I'd still accept him or her with open arms.

Their sexual orientation wouldn't affect my love or acceptance of them. And it shouldn't.
