I have thought of an idea for a website and I need a certain type of advert. The ones where to get on a page theres a page of adverts with a "skip this ad" link to get to the next page, anyone know what I mean and where I could get them from? Does anyone know how much they pay?
You are talking about Interstitial ads. The only company I've worked with that offer these are Valueclickmedia.com. I haven't used them, but it seems as if eCPM averages from $1.00 to a max of $5.00
Perhaps there are other networks that pay that much, however $1 is very high for each view, so I doubt that you'll get that, even if you are very lucky.
Adbrite told me they have good rates, $5 cpm, but a user will have to have at least 3-4 pageviews on your site before the interstitial activates. I didn't try it out because I don't like those kind of ads.
You may not like them but the OP was asking about companies that offer these kind of ads. And $5 CPM sounds pretty good to me if you have a popular site with lots of pageviews per user.
If they were paying $1 per view, then everyone would be using them, even most probably the larger sites. $1 per view is the most paid advertising out there, lol. I site that gets 1,000 pageviews a day would earn $1,000 per day. That is big money. A site getting 100,000 pageviews a day would earn $100,000 a day. A site that gets 1,000,000 pageviews a day would be on a $1,000,000 a day. I've heard that adbrite pays $10 CPM. That's $0.01 per view.
